From Bible stories and interactive activities to crafts and games, each session is designed to help children build friendships, have fun, and grow in their faith. **Childcare is available for children ages 6 weeks through teens.** All childcare staff have completed background checks to help ensure a safe and secure environment for every child. This Year’s Curriculum: The Miracles of Jesus ## Step Right Up for a Weekend of Wonders! The Texas State Fair is coming to Winter Weekend childcare! This year, children will explore The Miracles of Jesus through exciting Bible stories, hands-on activities, creative crafts, and games inspired by the sights and sounds of the fair. Throughout the weekend, children will discover the incredible power of Jesus and how His miracles reveal His love and care for others. ![](https://tripsandevents.betenboughcompanies.com/hs-fs/hubfs/raw_assets/public/website-theme/images/ww/horse.png?width=142&height=131&name=horse.png) ## Childcare Schedule Childcare is available during the following Winter Weekend sessions: ![](https://tripsandevents.betenboughcompanies.com/hs-fs/hubfs/raw_assets/public/website-theme/images/ww/kids-corral.png?width=579&height=579&name=kids-corral.png) ### Friday, Jan. 15 Evening Session - **Check-in:** Your child’s assigned classroom - **Ages 3 and older:** Movie night in a designated room - **Ages 0–2:** Activities and care in their assigned classrooms - **Pick-up:** Children ages 3 and older from the movie room; children ages 0–2 from their assigned classrooms ### Saturday, Jan. 16 Morning Session - **Check-in:** Your child’s assigned classroom - **Breakfast:** Available for employees and families before childcare. Please have your child eat with you before drop-off. - **Pick-up:** Your child’s assigned classroom following the morning session ### Saturday, Jan. 16 Evening Session - **Check-in:** Your child’s assigned classroom - **Dinner:** Available for employees and families - **Pick-up:** Your child’s assigned classroom following the evening session Specific check-in and pick-up times will be communicated separately. ## Before You Arrive ### Childcare Waiver A completed childcare waiver is required for every child participating in Winter Weekend childcare. [Complete Childcare Waiver](https://na3.docusign.net/Member/PowerFormSigning.aspx?PowerFormId=27d28433-930b-426e-b0e3-4f844e6667c7&env=na3&acct=a55b6bc7-b68c-4a4f-9e57-b9394637ecd2&v=2) ### What to Bring Please label all of your child’s belongings with their name, including: Diapers and wipes Bag or backpack Water bottle Nut-free snacks Blanket or comfort item Other personal necessities Please leave extra toys at home. Comfort items are welcome when needed, but personal belongings may be lost or misplaced during childcare. ### Snacks & Water To help protect children with food allergies, the childcare team will not provide snacks. Parents may send snacks for their children. All snacks must be nut-free. Snack sharing between children is not permitted. Each child should bring a labeled water bottle. ## Childcare Safety & Policies The safety and well-being of every child are our highest priorities. The following policies help create a safe, consistent, and caring environment throughout Winter Weekend. Secure Check-In & Pick-Up - Children must be dropped off and picked up at the door of their assigned classroom or designated pick-up location. - Parents will receive a matching identification tag at check-in. - Children will be released only to an adult with the matching identification tag. - If another adult is picking up your child, they must have the matching tag. - If a tag is lost, a Childcare Director will verify the adult’s identity before releasing the child. Diapers, Potty Training & Feedings Parents of children who wear diapers, are potty training, or have specific feeding needs will complete a brief care form at drop-off. This allows childcare staff to follow each child’s routine and any special instructions. Parents of children in diapers will receive a summary of diaper changes and feedings at pick-up. Bathroom Safety - Children will be escorted to the restroom by a female childcare staff member when needed. - Children will not visit the restroom alone. - No child will ever be alone with a staff member. - Male staff members will not assist with diaper changes or restroom visits. Injuries & Ouch Reports In the event of a minor injury, childcare staff will complete an **Ouch Report** documenting the incident. - Parents will receive and sign the report at pick-up. - A photo of the signed report will be retained for documentation. - For injuries beyond minor bumps or scrapes, a Childcare Director will contact parents immediately. Crying & Parent Communication To help children settle into their classrooms, parents are encouraged to avoid checking in during childcare sessions. If a child experiences ongoing distress, the childcare team will follow this process: - **After 5 minutes:** A Team Lead is notified. - **After 10 minutes:** A Childcare Director is contacted. - **After 15 minutes:** A Childcare Director contacts the parents. Parents who would prefer to be contacted sooner may communicate this request at drop-off. Behavior & Discipline The childcare team uses consistent, age-appropriate guidance to maintain a positive and respectful environment. 1. **First incident:** Verbal warning and redirection 2. **Second incident:** Time-out of one minute per year of age 3. **Third incident:** A Childcare Director becomes involved and determines whether parent contact is necessary If a child displays aggressive behavior toward another child or staff member, the Childcare Directors will determine whether the child needs to return to their parents.
